Cahors

The city of Cahors is built on a teardrop shaped '”almost” island surrounded by the Lot river.  Although the weather was unpleasant with a biting cold wind and drizzle here and there, we really enjoyed our walk around.  All the services e.g. supermarkets, home stores etc are on the outskirts on the other side of the river, so it makes this good sized manageable town easy to get around and relatively uncongested.   It offers everything you’d need so it would be easy to live within striking distance of Cahors.

… in St Etienne Church (still practising stained glass window shots)

Maison Henry IV – one of the oldest remaining townhouses

Old and crumbling, what can I say?

Hazy shot due to the
weather conditions, but still a breathtaking panorama
