Villecroze Garden

We took Celie with us on a full day trip to the Gorges du Verdon, but on the way we stopped at this enchanting garden …

001b (800x520) At first glance, appears to be just a nice garden

005b (800x533)
On closer inspection you’ll see the house that was carved straight into/out of the rock face

Being the photographer, I am always lagging behind, as I was when I took this shot practically on the move.   From the same garden, this is my Monet Moment … don’t paint it because I’m going to!

  1. Oh my ggodness, we travelled the Gorges du Verdon both ways, it was stunning. Goats , climbers, bungy jumpers and the clearest blue sky with mountains in layers, the brightest aqua water. Stayed a couple of nights in Castellane, lunched at Moustier, went by train from Nice to Entrevaux, Vistited Grasse (disappointing). I can just picture you. In St Paul de Vence, is Fondation Maeght, Modern Art Museum was memorable. Worth it.

  2. Hi Hillary ... that Gorge made me feel ill at the top while I took the photos - I think I might have vertigo. But wasn't it stunning. Nearly went to Grasse but glad I didn't now. Au revoir mon amie
