Orvieto, Italy

In Rome we collected our brand new lease Citroen with only 6km on the clock – yay! no more flights for 71 days.  After negotiating the ring road out of Rome, our first stop was 1 hour North at Orvieto.  Linz didn’t tell me there was anything special here so we casually wandered around the town.  I was totally gobsmacked when we came round a corner to be confronted with one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world; one that he really wanted to see on this trip.   How lucky that we saw this in brilliant sunshine.
