We had a 1 hour bus ride to Florence, rather than trying to find a park for the car. Thankfully we’d pre-purchased tickets for the Uffizi Gallery before we left NZ, which meant we didn’t have to wait in line for over an hour with a million tourist plebs. Uffizi was impressive; overwhelming actually, and Linz particularly enjoyed the Botticellis, but there are only so many Madonna and Child paintings one can see in a lifetime, and our limit was definitely surpassed well before we got to the end of the gallery. Once again, no photos allowed inside Uffizi, so some other topics to keep you occupied. Azad the artist, is a lovely chap from Iraqi Kurdistan. Quite accidentally we also met his friend and fellow artist, Khosrow, who is from Persian Kurdistan, in a gallery in Greve in Chianti.
